The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) is conducting an investigation into a potential safety issue with Toyota vehicles. According to Time, the NHTSA is investigating sudden-stalling problems on Toyota’s Corolla and Matrix models. Around 9 million vehicles have been recalled in the last year for acceleration problems.
This new NHTSA investigation was triggered by more than 1,000 complaints of 2005 to 2007 Matrixes and Corollas that have been reported. This can lead to another major recall for Toyota. The automaker is facing liability claims for hundreds of crashes. New York auto accident attorneys are waiting for the investigation to be completed.
