Pedestrian Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Brooklyn

According to the New York Daily News, a 60-year-old man was tragically killed by a driver in a hit-and-run accident while crossing the street in the rain on Sunday, March 14, 2010. The victim was hit by a black Ford Explorer while crossing Brighton Beach Avenue at Brighton Fourth Street in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.

The Ford Explorer was traveling east on Brighton Beach Avenue when it struck the man. The Explorer then fled the scene, leaving the man seriously injured laying on the ground. The victim was then hit by a second vehicle. He was rushed by ambulance to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
