A woman from Manhattan fell while dangling from a stripper pole during a workout at an upper East Side gym. Sue Ann Wee, along with the help of her personal injury lawyer in New York, is suing the fitness chain where the accident happened. The lawsuit in New York State Supreme Court, New York County, states that she suffered serious injuries when she tumbled off the pole during a June class.
Ms. Wee’s personal injury attorney said, “It’s a dangerous maneuver, but if you tell somebody to do it, you have to be ready to spot them.” According to the New York Daily News, Ms. Wee was hanging onto the pole with her legs when she asked an instructor for help. The instructor allegedly left her hanging. The fall left Ms. Wee with injuries that kept her out of work for six months.
