Brooklyn DJ Killed In Car Accident

A Brooklyn DJ died on December 13, 2009 when she was sideswiped by a truck as she rode her bike in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. 33-year-old Solange Raulston, known as DJ Reverend Soul, was scheduled to play a gig on the same day of the accident. Ms. Raulston’s tragic accident occurred on Nassau Avenue as she rode her bike to her day job at a florist. Ms. Raulston moved to New York five years ago. She was known to be the life of the party, and a dancer and socialite in London and Israel according to her friend Jesse Graham. On the night of her accident, one of Ms. Raulston’s bands, Soul Survivor, played a tribute to her at Bembe, a music club in Williamsburg.
