
According to a New York Post article, a Brooklyn police sergeant broke his leg while trying to arrest a drug suspect. The police sergeant was assigned to the 75th Precinct in East New York. He was helping arrest a man in a bodega on Jamaica Avenue near Cleveland Street at 10:30 p.m. on October 6, 2009. As the suspect tried to get away from the cops, the sergeant fell down a number of steps and broke his leg. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he is in stable condition.
